Aaron Murray IS A DAWG!!!!!

Murray committed to the Dawgs today. I just saw film of him and he is a great, great player. Cross between a Charlie Ward and Shockley. Has a great command of the field with a big arm...and can run very well. Gray may as well move over.

Great news!!! My suspicions were that he would decide UGA over UF. However, CMR and company will have to work hard to keep Murray in the fold. The Urban Cryer will work every angle between now and 02/09 to convince Aaron otherwise. A resounding 'beyoutch' slap on 11/01/08 will work wonders for CMR's recruiting!!! Our boys need to make THAT our SECOND statement game of the season!

As mentioned earlier, I suspect we may see the early departure of MS after this season. So Logan will have the upper hand, at least for one season. Don't discount Logan, he is all that was advertised. We are in for another 09/10 QB playoff, similar to the Cox/Stafford situation. Not a bad spot to be in!!!!

NC_Dawg, I saw Murray's press conference and I strongly feel he will stay with UGA and not change his mind. In his speech, a couple of the things that stood out to me was how he hated leaving Athens after every visit and just how much he loved the coaches. He was very well spoken and seemed like a wonderful kid. Don't you just love stealing one of UM's recruits out of his backyard!!

Will it not be fascinating to watch the competition for QB between Logan Grey, Zach Mettenberger and Aaron Murray? It has to be a little disturbing to us all that UGA is being so unfair to some of the other fine SEC schools. We never want to feel like we have to have all the talent. I am, as you no doubt are yourselves, rather saddened by the negative emotional impact this will likely have on our slithery friends in Gainesville. My heart goes out to the toothy lizzards...I feel their pain...just distressing...so sad, so sad...
