I would like to state again for the record that I hate the Gators with all the energy in my body.

Michigan in the Fiesta? These guys are a couple of years away from winning with the spread offense...they don't have the personel in place yet....too big and slow right now.

You're right. I don't know what I was thinking...I'd like to amend that choice and go out on a larger -- but more possible -- limb. I think that East Carolina will play Missouri in the Fiesta Bowl. That's right, I'm picking the Pirates to upset West Virginia and run the C-USA table, cracking the top twelve by the end of the season. This means that enough teams will have to lose two games that ECU can make it, but with the parity that last year showed us we have, it's definitely possible.

Here are my SEC predictions:

SEC East
1. GEORGIA too much talent, too much coaching, too much heart.
2.Florida too much talent.
3.Tennessee transition year, I hate them.
4.Vandy maybe the surprize team of the east.
5.South Carolina Spurrier bolts?
6.Kentucky rebuilding.

SEC West
1.LSU too much talent in spite of the coaching.
2.Alabama Saban's a year away.
3.Auburn good coaching but they'll miss Muschamp.
4.Mississippi State give it to Croom.
5.Ole Miss Nutt will pull them out of the cellar.
6.Arkansas will get what they deserve.

SEC Champions
Who do you think?
GEORGIA
GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been fun living in Florida this off season.

I take particular joy in listening to Gator fans trying to do math.......

Well, we won 13 of the last ....wait....15 of 18..........or well..........in 18 years you guys only won....how many?

Whatever.

I always say we won 1 of the last 1. And that is all anyone really cares about.

Interesting rankings. Here's how I'd go:

East

1) Georgia
2) Florida
3) SCarolina; Spurrier's got too much coming back and too much coaching acumen not to beat out UT this year.
4) Tennessee; how will he be able to field a team when half of them are wearing the OTHER orange uniforms?
5) Kentucky
6) Vanderbilt

West

1) LSU/Alabama tie
3) Mississippi State; more by default than anything else, since I think Auburn is going to have a TERRIBLE year while MSU will be building off of last year's momentum.
4) Auburn
5) Arkansas
6) Ole Miss
