...to listen to Georgia complete a sweep of the state of South Carolina. After their two-game sweep of Clemson last week and their three game sweep of #9 South Carolina over the weekend, the Diamond Dawgs have a chance to defeat every team worth playing in the state by beating Winthrop at 5:00. I teach at Winthrop, and I'm going to tell you that this is probable. Winthrop STINKS this year on the Diamond.

Can anyone tell me why USC is still ranked #9 while we're still in the 20s? After the people we've beaten and the people they've lost to? What the hell is wrong with Baseball America?

Living in SC, I am very pleased in the diamond dawgs and love to brag on them. Especially to redneck clemson fans.. Don't forget about College of Charleston though, they are probably worth playing. Speaking of baseball, Jeff Keppinger is having an great season for the Reds so far and I wouldn't be suprised if he made the All-Star roster.

C of C is a very good team, but we don't play them this year.

Keppinger is a guy I always keep my eye on; I saw him play for the Louisville Bats last year against the Charlotte Knights. I was hoping Clint Sammons would make the Braves roster this year but was woefully disappointed. Oh well. Not much you can do when Brian McCann is the guy in front of you...

Wow. Five to one. I guess there is one team in South Carolina that can beat us. I just wish it wasn't a team that's had losing streaks of five and nine already this season...
