Don't forget the two FGs he missed when he was our FRANCHISE guy in 2004 that cost us the game against Tennessee that year. Still the hardest loss I've had to walk away from. I LOATHE Andy Bailey.

You're right...I had forgotten about the UT game in 04. Hapless Hines was a lot better than Bailey. Bailey was absolutely DREADFUL.

Blair Walsh is the true freshman out of Ft. Lauderdale and yes, he apparently has a cannon for a leg. He was evidently a soccer player that has only played football for a couple of high school seasons. The article that I read mentioned Coach Richt living through \"wide right 1\" and \"wide right 2\" at FSU and therefore understanding how huge a kicker of this magnitude can be. He was the top ranked kicker in the land last season. Also got a linebacker out of the same school!

Not only did Bailey lose the Tn. game, he's from Tn. One quick question, anyone know of a Tn. guy who played at UGA and contributed? I can name a of of Ga. kids who went to UT but for the life of me I cannot name one. That's the difference between Georgia high school football and Tn. high school football.

Blair Walsh not scheduled to arrive at UGA until beginning of fall practice. His reputation and rating in HS is extremely high. All indications are that he will be an outstanding kicker. Only time will tell for sure. To compete at the NC level, a team needs an effective PK. I expect that he will fill the bill.
