I've been thinking about it, and no matter how you look at it, it's a good year to be a sports fan in the state of Georgia. Now, I know I'm a resident of North Carolina, so my NFL team is the Panthers, but listen: Georgia is going to be DOMINANT this year in college football. Show me a tough schedule and I'll show you the 2006 Florida Gators. We can do it, Dawgs.
Not only that, but the Braves finally look like they're back. Smoltz, Hudson, Glavine, Hampton...Chipper's healthy...Kotsay looks like he can actually swing a bat...forget them ball clubs up north.
And, if you're really starved for a good pro football team, there's every indication that the Georgia Force are going to kick some behind this year.
Man I wish I was back living in Athens or Stone Mountain again! But NC is close enough, and AIN'T IT GREAT DOWN IN DIXIE?!?!?!
