This weekend, Memphis will play Tennessee in a #1 vs. #2 matchup in college basketball. I don't know that I could stand it if Tennessee wins and is ranked #1 in ANYTHING AT ALL, let alone if both their men's and women's teams end up the year ranked #1. Vols fans would never shut up. Root HARD for Memphis...I mean GO TIGERS DRESSED IN BLUE MEMPHIS MEMPHIS HOO-RAH! rooting.


Mike & Mike in the Morning reported that there are tickets to this game (only the fifth one vs. two matchup between in-state rivals in history) going for $10,000 on StubHub. Yeesh.

Is this the first time out of the 5 that the #1 vs #2 teams from the same state, has happened in a state other than North Carolina? I bet the other 4 were Duke vs UNC.

I can't remember exactly when, but I'm pretty sure Kansas and Kansas State have met as #1 and #2.

I want to first say that I am a Georgia Football Maniac...
But, when it comes to college B-Ball, I am a Tiger Fan.(Hometown Team) I have been a fan since the Keith Lee days. Anyway with that said this Saturday is going to be TOUGH for the Tigers. Tenn gives Memphis all they want EVERY time we play. It's like South Carolina/Georgia. No matter how bad the Cocks are they always play us tough in Football.
I'm with you, Dapolla I hate EVERYTHING Orange. The only player I even know of on the \"other team\" is Lofton.
IF Dorsey can stay out of foul trouble and stay on the floor AND we can hit the free throws LATE in the game we should Win.....
I predict Tenn up at half...Memphis wins by 2.

Guys, I don't like UT either, but I think they're going to take this game. They are more prepared for the battle that's about to take place. Memphis hasn't played a schedule anywhere near as hard as UT. Vols by 6.

I hate the Vols and everything they represent.
