I am one of the Dawgs who is working with Rep. Barry Fleming and Sen. Eric Johnson to pass the bill in the General Assembly to stop the Gator tag since they don't allow a UGA tag in Florida.
However, the Gator Club is pushing back hard and swamping legislators with emails against the tag. Only 2 UGA fans have emailed in support of the bill.
The bill is up for a hearing for the first time later today. Please email Sen. Eric Johnson (the Senate sponsor of the bill) and tell him you support the bill to stop the Gator tag until we get a Dawg tag in Florida.
