geez 17 pts in the sec half can someone please explain to me how we can play so well in the first half but not in the second.and why did stafford give up the ball in so much tos all most gave up that game.wow

Oh who the hell knows. After this week's game -- which believe me, we could have lost but for that fumble -- I've just decided to say "Rebuilding" anytime someone brings up the Dawgs this season. Our defense flat-out refuses to wrap anybody up, and stands just in between blitzing and covering the receivers, with the result that any opposing team can run all over us and any receiver will catch the ball with four or five red jerseys standing around waiting to tackle. I've never been more disgusted with a win. It's clear that - despite the interceptions - our offense under Stafford can SCORE. So why does the defense insist on being porous and lackluster?

i agree dapolla dog, we are used to our d coming out in the second half and stopping the other team. for as long as i can remenber ga has always been a 2nd half team. our d for the most part made adjustments at half time. not this team, every game we stay with the same defence and it gets no better. it amazies me how other teams receivers are wide open and ours are always covered. what you said is so true. we play 10 to 15 years back, just waiting on their receivers to catch the ball. they can pick up a 1st down anytime they want due to we play so far off the line. do you think fla is not going to go with the short passes and work the ball up and down the field. you know this i know this why can't our defence figure this out. i want to feel and hope that the team that played south carolina will show up and the team the played tenn in the first half. we have had so many things go wrong this year and just hoping that we put it all together in fla and come home with a victory. if the d will play with fire and emotion for 60 minutes and the receivers catch the ball we just may get a win. i know a lot of ifs, but just hoping.

Once again, Martinez and his "read and react" defense allowed an inferior team that we only gave up 10 points to last year come within a much needed forced fumble of upsetting us at home. God help us this Saturday.
