So I read this article on SI:

sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/...schamp.ap/index.html

I didn't realize that the Texas coaching staff now has 3 former Dawgs on it.

Greg Davis was QB coach 94-95
Mac McWhorter O-Line and TE coach 91-95

plus now

Will Muschamp saftey 91-94

I have to admit for a former walk-on Will is having an excellent career.

Go Dawgs!!!!

I like him.....great fire and passion for the game. He'll be a HC one day.

Interesting, I think Muschamp's name will be called soon. I wish them all well. It's the ultimate compliment when your assistants get the head coaching nod.

I did not realize that. Still, I HATE THE HORNS.

Just cause' it's been burnt don't mean it ain't orange :X
I worked for about 3 months in the Fall/Winter of 06' out in Tyler, TX (roughly 2 hours East of Dallas) and I did enjoy the landscape of the Lone Star State & I met a bunch of really great people. The fine Texas folks made a Georgia Boy like me feel right at home. Plus, Texas is the only place I've ever been where every car will just drive on the shoulder of the road & allow you to pass (try that in ATL & see what happens). I also visted Austin, TX on UT's graduation weekend in Dec. and had a blast. The Austin gals have an Athensesque quality to em'. Still, all of this doesn't change my dislike for the Longhorns!

Hopefully the UGA boys won't stay too long. I agree w/wlayton, I like Muschamp a bunch and I do think he will be a HC one day, probably in the next 2 or 3 years. Here's a picture especially for you RxDawgboy!

I spent a summer in Texas when my dad lived in Lubbock. If I didn't know any better I would have thought the Red Raiders were the only team in the state. I didn't see much of Texas but I hear that Austin is an awesome city and am under the impression that Lubbock is the butthole of Texas. ;) Granted I have never been to Houston.

Yeah Getdown, EVERY Texan I met had one thing in common, tremendous PRIDE in their team of choice. I met a few Red Raiders, several Aggies, but in Eastern Texas, the dominant team by far was UT Austin. I'm sure the team colors vary depending on what part of the massive state you are in. I too didn't make it to Houston but I hear it's just a hotter, more spread out version of Atlanta??? The riverwalk area of San Antonio was very nice & despite all the bad stuff I heard prior to my visit, I thought the Alamo was well preserved and was well presented for the tourists, like me. They had Davy Crockett's old musket & hunting knife on display as well as Sam Houston's sword, pretty neat stuff!
