Team of the decade

My picks for team of the decade in college football so far:

1.) Southern Cal
2.) Louisianna State
3.) Ohio State
4.) Oklahoma
5.) Texas
6.) Florida
7.) Miami
8.) Georgia

Basically, I think UGA is the best program in the country this decade without a national championship.

What about Hawaii?

Of course, if you listened to espn and the other \"experts\" before the game, I think Hawaii was the team of the century, werent't they?

Based on your formula which appears to be NC's first then NC game visits, then W-L second, then I almost agree. But I'd put it like this:

1.) LSU (two NC's, 6th highest win percentage)
2.) Oklahoma (one NC, two NC losses, 2nd highest win percentage)
3.) Ohio State (one NC, two NC losses, 4th highest win percentage)
4.) USC (one NC, one NC loss, 5th highest win percentage)
5.) Texas (one NC, 3rd highest win percentage)
6.) Miami (one NC, one NC loss, 8th highest win percentage)
7.) Florida (one NC, 14th highest win percentage)
8.) Boise State (No NC appearances, 1st highest win percentage)
9.) Georgia (No NC appearances, 7th highest win percentage)
10.)Virginia Tech (No NC appearances, 9th highest win percentage)

Actually, that was just off the top of my head. If I were going to develop a formula for deciding the best program of the decade, I would weigh the following factors from most important to least important:

1.) National Championships
2.) Conference Championships
3.) BCS Bowl Victories
4.) Overall regular season wins and winning percentage during the regular season, taking into account strength of schedule and performance against ranked teams.
5.) Non BCS Bowl Victories
6.) Individual Awards (Heisman, Lombardi, All-Americans, All-Conference, NFL 1st round draft pics, etc.)

Not quite sure of the relative weight I would assign each factor, but that is the order of importance I would assign to each factor.
