I saw this in Thursday's USA Today.
Odds against winning the 2008 BCS Championship:
USC 4:1
Florida 6:1
Oklahoma 8:1
Ohio State 10:1
GEORGIA 12:1
Texas 12:1
West Virginia 15:1
Virginia Tech 18:1
LSU 20:1
Illinois 25:1

Should be more fuel for Coach Richt's fire.

I really do think that UGA will be one of (if not) the best team in the country this year and the only reason I may think they will have a tough time reaching the NC game is because their schedule is UNREAL tough!

What I thought interesting were the Big 11 teams. Gag me.

averagedawg, seems as if some folks cannot face up to reality. I truly believe that UGA has the players and coaches to be one of the best teams in the upcoming season. So many things can happen to change a team, injuries, attitudes and Lord only knows what else. That is the game of football, but that reasoning is not figured into the above listed GUESSES. GatorinGA hit the nail on the head mentioning the schedule, UNREAL tough. We come out of the upcoming season with a loss or two, wonder if we will get the same considerations that those folks both below and above us got this past season. (As if I don't have that answer) I do know this . . . . UGA has a lot of talent on the team now and in the incoming class.If there are teams that can whip us, well. . . . SHOW ME, DON'T GIVE ME THAT TALKING HEAD ROUTINE. Feel as if the upcoming season is going to be one of the greatest ever in college football. One quick question, where did USA Today come up with the odds? Just curious, if you know or it was written in the article.

I was just watching Lou Dobbs on the tube; flashed on the bottom of the screen. UGA preseason No. 1 2008.
Anybody heard this? Looked online, couldn't find any thing.
I only know two sports, UGA Football, talking about UGA Football.
