Tearing Me Apart

This is killing me.

I don't even BELIEVE in the FCS National Championship. I don't believe that you can have one. I dont' believe that you can determine one. I usually love bowl season because I love all of this argument about who deserves what.

But I don't know that there's a person alive who's more angry about this downplaying of Georgia and keeping us out of the NC picture than I am. Because you see, I am not only a rabid fan, but I also believe in LOGIC.

We've been through the arguments. And we've been through the debate as to whether Georgia deserves to be in the game. We've been through the playoff argument.

And yet...

What bothers me is that if they played by the rules they've been playing by all year, then it's JUST NOT FAIR that they would keep us out of the title picture except out of extreme hatred. It's JUST...NOT...FAIR!!!

Okay. Rant over. Until the final rankings come out, that is...

There are no rules. It's made up as they go along. I agree, we get the shaft.

The BCS is a joke and is ruining postseason football in my opinion. If college football isn't going to institute a playoff, then at least admit your mistake and put the BCS back on a shelf and go back to the major bowl/conference tie-ins that existed before the Bowl Coalition and the Bowl Alliance and the BCS (or whatever else they've called it over the years). That made for much better match-ups and much more spirited and non-controversial debates after New Year's day.

I think you mean FBS championship. The FCS plays a tournament for the championship.
