Congrats. You clearly showed that you're a national championship caliber team, and should of been on the Big-EZ on the 7th instead of today.

Drift808 thanks for the classy post. I would have to say that the UGA team played one of the best games that I have seen in a long time. Actually had some sad feelings when the cameras panned the fans, there was much hurt and disbelief on some of the faces. It is tough to lose, we understand that feeling also. However, takes a classy individual to come on our board with rewarding statements about our team. I (we) wish you, your team and University a terrific 2008.

Thanks Drift808, classy gesture. I did not expect this. Give it to Coach Martinez and the D, proved last night he CAN coach. We should have a great 2008. Hawaii showed a lot of heart and class, the Jones hit on Henderson not withstanding.

Drift, I actually felt a little bad for Hawaii. Having lived there, I know that the talent and program is nothing compared to an SEC school.
I really felt all along that they had no chance.
I actually bet on this game (my only bet) and gave up 20.5 pnts.
Hawaii and ther fans were believers but really had no basis for their beliefs that they had a chance other than Boise State's shocker last year.

Buc, I disagree that UGA played one of their best games. This was just another ho-hum game for them.

averagedawg, could not agree more. I am one of those that wondered about Coach Martinez earlier in the year. I really believe that after the Tennessee game that a lot of things changed. I believe that Coach Richt loosened up, to wit . . . Florida game and the \"mass meeting\" in the end zone. Maybe when CMR loosened up, the rest of the coaches could allow themselves some of the same liberties. UGA defense had some advantages using the \"two deep\". They understood their \"zones\". Not something than can be taught overnight. If this defense continues on this path, being able to play 4 down or 3 down on the dline with the incoming players, this could be a tough team to beat in 2008. Also, this needs to be mentioned . . . . our offensive line played smash mouth ball last evening, regardless of whether or not the talent on the defensive side equaled ours. This Dawg team was prepared, not to mention all coaches names, but it is intended for the whole staff. Coach Richt, Coach Martinez and Coach Bobo, job well done. As June Jones said after the game . . . \"This might be the best team in the nation.\" Go Dawgs.

I am so PROUD of this team; players, coaches, staff, administration. We can hold our heads high. GO Dawgs 2008!
