Bowlmania Challenge - Dawgs Dot Com

This is a thread SOLELY for discussion of our ESPN College Bowlmania competition.

Well, congrats to all Ute supporters. THAT INCLUDES ME, HA HA HA HA!!!

Now it's time to root for the Fighting Schnellenbergers of Florida Atlantic. GO OWLS!!!

Yep dapolla, GO UTES! Even though my old man served in the Navy in the mid 50's & I always root for the Middies I too picked the Utes last night. It certainly was a very entertaining game to start off the bowl season. I was ready to go to sleep with the Utes winning by 10 but then Navy scored a late TD and RECOVERED the onside kick. Luckily, the Navy QB then proceeded to throw an INT on the 1st down play following the onside recovery to seal the W for the Utes.

Yeah, you look at the mistakes Navy made in the first quarter (fumbling on the Utah 3, missing a chip shot FG) and the final score probably should have been 42-35 Navy. Then again, as the local sports guy says, \"That's why we play these goofy games!\"

Oh well, 0-1. The only one I care about is the Sugar Bowl. GO DAWGS!!!!!

I am surprised so many of us picked Navy for this one. Glad I only bet a point on it.
