That's awesome and another great season by the Blazers. It seems like only yesterday they were VSC to me. I grew up in Valdosta and remember going to the festivities they had for becoming a university. Is Chris Hatcher still the coach for VSU?

Yeah, that makes 2 NC's in 3 years....that's my Alma Mater but I graduated so long ago they didn't have a football team then....still proud of them though. DawginLA, you grew up in Valdosta? I lived there for about 7 years (college and work).

Being from Warner Robins, we have a little football envy. Of High School ball that is. During my day, it was always to see who would play them in the State Championship Game. I think they still hold the U.S. record for most S.C. and N.C. teams.

I do believe that Valdosta High is still the winningest program in the country. Bazemore and Hyder dominated HSFB. I went to Lowndes High and had to endure some butt kickings from the Wildcats every year. Lowndes got back on the winning track after I graduated. Still some of the best High school Football in the country though. Last I remember Lowndes won state in 2005. I remember the score being announced at the SEC Championship when Shock and the dogs were dismantling LSWho.
