We should also divide up into teams...................we can call the teams \"US\" and \"Them\".

\"Us\" will be myself, wlayton and all forward thinkers who want some form of playoff.

\"Them\" would be Dapolla, DawgSpeare and all those infavor of horse drawn carriages and against change of any sort to the current bowl system.

So choose sides everyone!

But remember............

Us and we are responsible for all that is good and right and whenever something goes off kilter it is always them or they.

The losing team concedes the argument over a playoff.........

I was just joking...................the only real way would be to divide the people in that leage and assign a point value for the finishing order......................ie....................when you and I finish #1 and #2 (in no particular order) we would be assigned say 10 and 9 points if 10 people were in the group.

If the group grows than the point value for each position grows. Of course we could just do it the normal way and I could stop teasing those guys, but it is a slow day at work and I really want a plus 1 scenario (BCS code for a 4 team playoff).

I gotcha, that would be the way to do it. Total points on the team wins....the other team would probably concede before we got started...we are the \"forward \" thinkers, you know.

I'm with ya on the plus one. At least it's a start, then maybe expand to 8 etc. That's how March Madness got started with a small number that expanded to the 65 now.

That is the plan. We have to stop saying playoff and use the plus 1 language the sensitive people in charge are comfortable with.

Once we get the +1 we can then work on expanding it. We just have to play by the rules. SEC Commissioner Slive is on board. We just have to get the anachronisms in charge of the Big 10+1 and the Rose Bowl to see the $$$.

The $'s there, they just need to open their eyes to see it. Man, could you just imagine what TV ads would sell for throughout a playoff series? Probably 4-5 times what they are getting now. Over an 8 team playoff series, the revenues would dwarf the Super Bowl.
