New Years in New Orleans

I got tix for the game and I'm looking for something to do for NYE. I found Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk with an open bar for $65 at the Howlin Wolf (by the convention center) and Galactic at Tipitinas $55 (no open bar). Any other ideas or does anyone know anything about these places and bands.

You don't need to really make plans. Most of the warehouse district and the quarter is all walking distance away. Really depends upon what you like, atmosphere you are going for.
