UH Warrior Haka.......

Apparently, our island guests have a little pregame ceremonial dance, known as a Haka. It's taken from Polynesia and was used in ancient times as a ritual war dance.

DANCE FEVER:

I seem to recall that a few rugby teams had adopted this pregame ritual as a means to fire up their team and perhaps \"frighten\" their opponent. However, judging from the above video, I believe the pregame chant given by my midschoolers girls basketball squad invokes more fear!!!

I suggest that we counter their pregame dance with a little ditty of our own!!!!

This COULD have been a great post season, instead it's mired in outdated tradition, unclear choices and objectional decision making...kinda like a presidential election a few years back...but I digress!

One VERY important point to be made about the UGA -v- UH game, our bowl will be the only match-up where one team can terminate, with extreme prejudice, the undefeated dreams of the other...Unless, of course, you chose to believe the parsing of Les Miles and the conjugation of regulation.

After seeing that clip, NC_Dawg, I just figured out how UH is undefeated--they do that goofy dance at the start, and while the other team is laughing so hard, they run the score up. Too bad for them, our players arenn't allowed to have a sense of humor on game day, just a sense of kickin' some rainbow colored @$$.

What about that thing Miss Uga sent out???? The elf thingy. That should be the official Dawgs.com Haka. I mean, if that doesn't get you up for the game, nothing will....

Georgia doesn't have enough offense to keep up with Hawaii, not unless they can time-transport the 1979 version of Herschel Walker.


I got that off of some web site. I wish I could remember what it was. It's about all the bowl games though. Point of the story? Those Hawaii fans are pretty cocky. CMR gave them there dues, but we are by no means like any team they have evere faced. I think we all have pretty much given them the respect they have ACTUALLY earned. Not what they THINK they have earned. Which is only fair. Wow, I just can't wait to hear what they have to say after the game.
