What I hope happens...

I hope LSU barely squeaks by Ohio State like 17-14 and Oklahoma routs West Virginia 45-10 or so. The AP puts Oklahoma #1 and we have a split championship year. It's only fitting to add to the chaos.

I hope we win our bowl game convincingly, and 3 of the 4 teams ahead of us lose, that way we should only drop to 7th.

No sadlerdawg, the irony happens. Your scenario, 3 out of the 4 teams lose ahead of us, we kill HI and THEN....THEN we move up to #2.....unbelievable IRONY.

You're right, wlayton, my theory would depend on the BCS being consistent--can't happen.

Is it just me or is it SO evident that the pollsters (or somebody?!!?) want LSU to be #1. Theyv'e been there twice and have lost and now they are put back in the position to be #1 AGAIN.....what's wrong (and I mean wrong) with this picture?

No wlayton, sadler had it right. Maybe, if we pound HI, we won't drop below 7th. Maybe...course 7th isn't too bad all things considered...we're 11-2 (then)...won 7 in a row, convincingly...all the pundits agree that we're one of the hottest teams...yeah, we shouldn't drop more than about 2 positions. But you never know, we might not make the top 10...
