Georgia Tech athletics director Dan Radakovich wasn't very specific on Monday when describing what he'd look for on a football coach's resume, but he couldn't have been clearer about one personality trait the successful candidate must have: energy.
That's exactly what Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp has, Muschamp's boss said Thursday.
\"He's young, he's energetic and he gets his guys to play really hard,\" Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville said. \"He's a good guy and is going to make somebody a good head coach some day. He's done a great job for me.\"
Auburn ranks fifth in the nation in total defense and seventh in scoring defense in Muschamp's second season as coordinator. In his first season, Auburn ranked 19th in total defense and seventh in scoring defense. Muschamp, 36, worked for Nick Saban from 2001-05, the first four seasons at LSU, the last with the Miami Dolphins.
