Since Mecole Hardman, Jr. made the statement below, has stuck with me. Many times players and fans like myself and others show our frustration in different ways.

Not only does Mecole recognize and speak out to others about what has occurred for far too long with Georgia football, I admire the fact that he did so.

Again, it started before Richt, matter of fact way before Richt. However, for 15 years there have been some ups, but somehow the downs bother me more. Apparently the same can be taken from the statement Mecole Hardman, Jr. made.

5-star’s Mecole Hardman, Jr.'s message to UGA recruits: ‘Let’s get this home state back popping’ and ‘I’m tired of seeing everybody else win’

Not only has this board recognized the lack of leadership in Athens, players that we are recruiting and have recruited see the same.

This new group of coaches have a lot on their plates, and I for one believe they not only recognize the task, they have mentioned changes that need to be made. Changes mentioned before they have coached one Spring in the Classic City.

Change was needed.

Thank you Mecole Hardman, Jr., you are a stand up young man.

A lot of conversation about which side of the ball Mecole Hardman, Jr. lines up on.

Some say Mecole will probably end up primarily on as a cornerback.

Watching film, makes me wonder. Mecole not going to touch the football near as much on the defense. Not doubting for a minute that he would be super there.

Coach Smart has added another young man that is "all that" on both the offense and defense.

Great hands, great speed. Can only imagine Sam Pittman getting the offensive line in order.

Jacob Eason has a lot to work with.

Copied the paragraph below from Kimberley's (Lady Sportswriter) article below.

“He (Riley Ridley) competed at the highest level down there in Miami against really good players. I got to see him first-hand in camp this summer and know what kind of competitive fibers he’s made out of,” Smart said. “He’ll compete and fight you for balls. Let’s hope that they at least increase the competition in that room. If you increase competition sometimes you increase production, and that’s what we’re hoping.”

Kirby Smart is not going to mince words . . . . REFRESHING.

And Kirby Smart will have no reservations about playing true freshmen.
