Les Miles

In the past decade, Les Miles has won 3 SEC west titles, 2 SEC titles, a National Championship, and sports about a 75% winning percentage.

Mark Richt on the other hand over the same time period has 0 National Championships, no SEC Championships, and has seen his winning percentage drop to the 68% range while playing in the SEC Least Division.

One gets fired, the other... well... contract extension?

Seriously... if Richt had done what Miles had done, he would have been given a lifetime contract with a no fire clause.

What the hell UGA?

Standard of Excellence vs a Standard of the Belk Bowl, I guess.

That joke Abuurn grad Barrett Sallee over at the Bleacher report said all that Mark Richt did was make a bad hire (as if this is the only season where UGA has fallen short of expectations instead of just about all of them), but that Les Miles stubbornness made him the bad hire.

Please Barrett Sallee... you are to journalism what Mark Richt is coaching.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

If the pathetic loser had done what Miles had done, the only thing that would have happened is you would have heard your wife saying, "wake up, wart, you've been dreaming again". Because the only way the pathetic loser could even come close to the same level of excellence of Miles would be in a dream world.
We'll be stuck with the pathetic loser---anyone want to bet LSU gets another SEC championship or NC before we do??

Anyone at all.....

No one??

Didn't think so

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Just food for thought.

Trip to Washington was decided prior to the Auburn game. Much of what I have read makes it evident that some of the more prominent contributors are getting some listening time with Mahogany Row. Appears that the head coach is listening a little closer this time around. Four million dollars is not chicken scratch.

Again the head coach was a bit perturbed at his last press conference. Have often read that the head coach is a very patient man. Seems anytime a question is asked that does not sit well with him, his patience disappears.

Signs indicating that he is very much aware of what is being said. Remember well the head coach saying that he does not listen or read what is said about him or the team on social media. Guess that half of the Bulldog Nation does not seem to matter to this very patient coach. Do know this, did not take him long to hit "twitter" with a message when it was mentioned that Pruitt leaving was a distinct possibility. I believe it remains a possibility. Apparently the head coach was not completely honest about cyber space.

Was mentioned on Dawgs.com a while back that Kirby Smart was ready to spread his wings. It was also said here that South Carolina seems to be the perfect fit for the newest Nick Saban disciple. Smart head coach in the SEC East, Saban controls the West.

If Kirby Smart were offered the head job in Athens, it would make a lot of head coaches cringe a bit, including Nick Saban. Smart surrounded by the talent near Athens would change the way Georgia recruits and plays on Saturdays. Our head coach has had 15 years to capitalize on the talent surrounding the Classic City. As is pointed out above, results speak for themselves.

Have said this before on coaching at Georgia. Check the time that VD remained as head coach. Impresses some I suppose. My opinion, those in charge of football in Athens seem to value long term relationships. Long term relationships are great if there is value in remaining "joined at the hip".

Mark Richt on the hot seat again. Second time actually. Next time those above Richt will be the target(s). Outside money is beginning to speak loudly to those that could find themselves in the same situation that Richt is in now. McGarity is nothing more than a pawn. Georgia football needs and has needed "LEADERSHIP" long before Richt arrived. Did not intend to "shout", however that is the way I feel about the way our program is being and has been run for many years.

Going to regret the day that Kirby Smart moves to Columbia, South Carolina. Jim McElwain in Gainesville, Florida. Richt/McGarity remain, we will be the doormat of the East.

Mark Richt never understood that it takes 11 men on "both sides" of the football to reach heights that coaches such as Nick Saban attain.

Some lead, others follow.

Richt has said his tenure at Georgia is up to the Lord.
Again no personal responsibility.

Well he certainly needs to thank the Lord, because it's certainly not his results/accomplishments that's
extending his tenure.

Upsetting that an uncommitted 2017 recruit, Nate McBride, can assume his opinion means anything.
Recruiting should matter not to Richt's status as consummate loser.

Or rather, terminate him now.
We are not Tn.
There will be no shortage of interest in the hc position.

Hire a Kirby.
The top shelf recruits will come.
