Great pickup in Nick Marshall. Have to be high on a young man that plays QB, can play for a lot of schools and picks UGA. 6'2\" 190 pound cornerback. The attitudes of athletes like Nick really help build my faith in young folks. Coach Lakatos has to be excited about this young man. Likes those six footers. Supposedly Nick Marshall runs like the wind . . . WR (?) . . . Coach Fox has to like this young man also, right kind of attitude. Football, Basketball coaches are doing an incredible job recruiting. Go Dawgs!

And Marshall sounds like a good pick up for football and basketball
Jun. 9
Nick Marshall, QB
Rochelle, GA
Wilcox County High School
Scouts Grade: 78
Position Rank: 31
Two-sport standout Nick Marshall to play for Georgia Bulldogs
Athlete Nick Marshall of Wilcox County (Rochelle, Ga.) has announced plans to play both football and basketball for Georgia in the Class of 2011.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect was also offered by Alabama, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Clemson, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. He was a silent commitment to the Yellow Jackets.
A quarterback in high school, Marshall is rated three-stars and No. 31 nationally by ESPNU, but will play defensive back for the Bulldogs. He is considered No. 34 at shooting guard and will also walk on UGA's basketball team.
The Bulldogs now have 11 commitments.

RabunDog, a lot of athletes would have taken issue with UGA signing CL. Can understand that all of these young men want playing time. Nick pretty much said, I will play another position, has the talent to do that and . . . . . 1350 or so on the SAT's. Welcome Nick, you and several others make this defensive backfield look really awesome. Smiles Coach Lakatos.

That’s good news, but the happiest guy is Mark Fox. He gets one of the best basketball players in the Southeast and doesn’t even have to give him a scholarship! Also impressive that he is mature enough to realize that he can’t play basketball and be a quarterback. He can do both if he plays DB. Also, he was supposedly a silent commitment to GT as a QB, but he changed his mind.
It’s a big get for UGA in both sports and continues the “Dream Team” momentum.

Definitely a great get wlayton. Plays point and shooting guard. Read somewhere he had 52 in one game in the basketball playoffs this year.
Just finished watching most of the UF/Arkansas game from last season, Arkansas looked really good, very active on defense against UF. We definitely need to get pressure on Ryan Mallett, young man has an arm. He did break his foot in February of this year, and he was not that mobile last year. Interesting to see what our new defense can do on home turf.
