I am certainly one of \"those\" that believe the TV media is controlled by the Northeast. For example . . . .every year we see the polls come out in the beginning of the season and you will always find the Big 10 + 1 rated near the top. Ohio was a prime example of that last year, and again this year they are rated #1. Those of us on this board know that THE Ohio State playing a SEC schedule would be hard pressed to be without at least 2 losses this year. Glad to see Rutgers doing well, but do they really rate the coverage they have had for the past few years . . .Takes me back to a time in the early 60's when we played a MIchigan team that made fun of the black-eye pea eaters. How could they possibly think a team from Georgia should be on the same field with those big old boys. They found out. Think about it . . . who could possibly enjoy watching UGA/AU . . . . all that is offered is a young fellow by the name of Knowshon, and where did he choose to play REAL FOOTBALL . . . .UGA, SEC. Young star from the NORTHEAST, just goes to show that some of those on the upper side of the Mason/Dixon line still have their senses. . . . .Go Dawgs! Knowshon.

Aaaaaahhh, the UGA/UM game in \"the big house\". All I remember is Ronnie Jenkins running over those big boys on the goal line.....UGA victory!!! It was awesome.

I heard Kirk Herbstreit on a radio interview yesterday evening & he said he was lobbying for the GAMEDAY crew to come to Athens. I agree w/Dapolla though, more of an ANTI-CBS thing. Besides, Kirk just wanted to see those LOVELY UGA COEDS...being an alumni of the pathetic Tiny 9 + 2 conference he has no idea what the Deep South's Oldest Rivarly is all about.
As for the UGA-UK game getting the 12:30 LFS slot...I say HORSE #$@%. My god, CBS took the sure fired slaughter game of LSU at Ole Miss, I'm guessing ESPN will pick up the basketball conference game of the week (Clemson vs. BC) and at noon that day, ABC will be carrying the freaking battle of perennial overhyped universities (Game of the Century last year My #@$...it was more like the battle of paper mache defenses playing flag football w/their hands tied behind their backs). I am a bit jaded by this kickoff time because I finally got a hotel room in Athens following the UK game expecting a late kickoff...oh well, hopefully this will now provide me with a full afternoon & evening to celebrate another SEC East Title in Athens. JEEZ!!!

Yeah, my son and I were trying to figure out if UGA/UK was going to be the 3:30 game or the espn prime time game. It never occured to us until we saw it that it would be the 12:30 game. Oh well, like goosedawg said, just more time to celebrate afterwards.

ESPN/ABC have a vested interest in Pac 10, definitely have a SEC bias. That's why the SEC Championship means so much to true football fans. No other conference comes close.

Actually, the station with the Pac-10 bias is FSN...they're the ones with the contract to show ALL of the Pac-10 games they can stomach. As a fan of all college football, it's nice to actually be able to see those games, just as it's nice to actually see MAC games like WMU-CMU last night (go Chippewahs!) or other mid-majors. Just because it's not SEC doesn't mean it's not worth watching...just means it shouldn't be given PRIORITY over THE OLDEST RIVALRY IN THE DEEP SOUTH!!!!
