Bowl Projection

On ESPN.com, Ivan Maisel predicts Georgia to goto the Fiesta Bowl vs Oklahoma and Mark Schlabach picks the dawgs to play Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl, they both have LSU in a BCS bowl too, I guess they think Georgia will either win the SEC or lose to LSU in the champ.....I know their predictions dont really matter, but I think it's an interesting prediction by ESPN writers.

Either one works for me!!

Really, for us to go to the Fiesta Bowl, here's what would have to happen:

We win out. Tennessee wins out, and loses to LSU in the Championship game. That would keep us from having another loss which might drive us lower in the rankings. No way we go to a BCS bowl with three losses. Meanwhile Tennessee is relegated to the Capitol One Bowl or the Outback Bowl or something.

Personally I don't care about the bowls. We're going to one, that's for sure right now. All I care about is doing what we came to do -- win games -- and giving ourselves a shot at the SEC. Don't forget that we did this same thing in 2004, losing two games -- one to Tennessee -- beating Florida but being kept out of Atlanta by our loss to Tennessee. Had there been fewer than FIVE unbeaten teams going into bowl season, we probably would have had a legitimate shot at a BCS bowl.

I want to do enough to play in January, personally. Playing on December 31st last year stuck in my craw.

That's amusing, since they both had us projected for the Music city bowl last week. What a difference a game makes, huh?

I hear ya, Sadler. It's always funny, too....the announcers were all gator pre-game....but as soon as that first TD..they're suddenly barkin'...
