Disrespect

The local voter for the Harris Poll here in Nashville, Joe Biddle of the Tennessean, did not even put Georgia in the top 25. He put Bama at 14, Florida at 21, Kentucky at 22, Tennessee at 25. I may be crazy, but didn't we beat Bama at home, smash the Gators in the mouth and didn't Kentucky just lose to Miss State. I expect a Tn. bias but obviously he hates the Dawgs. Maybe I'm being unrealistic but I would expect more objectivity fron a SEC beat writer and veteran journalist. GO DAWGS!!!!!

They simply should take away his voting rights. Oh, should you start buying a different paper as well.

Unfortunately it's the only game in town and I don't function without my morning paper and USA Today. He does host an afternoon talk show on WNSR 560 and I won't be listening to that anymore except to call him today to express my displeasure. I don't know yet how good we really are but last Saturday we can go head to head with anybody. Hopefully we are on a late season roll and who knows how far we can go. Now if this team had only shown up at Knoxville, but right now I am as happy as a pig in mud.

Yeah averagedawg, call that dude and blast him. I too am so completely happy, calm and satisfied for the next 11.99 months.

I emailed Mr. Biddle and told him what I thought of his voting techniques. This was my email:

I recently read that in your latest poll you didn’t have UGA in you top 25. If this is true then your rights as a voter should be pulled. It shows nothing more than a bias that you have against them. That coupled with the article you wrote about South Florida receiving your first place vote shows that you have no business voting for anything.

You need to relax a little. It was a total oversight, not some perceived bias I have.
I will correct it this week and hope the world will get back on its axis.

I will have to say that I receieved his response fairly quickly.

Great post, still sounds like he's a jerk. Let us all know if and when he changes it.
