THE EAST IS STILL WIDE OPEN!

You heard me. Look, the East is eating itself alive this year. Florida has proven that if you attack Tebow, the rest of the offense folds. Their defense is still good, but not GREAT. They just lost two SEC games in a row, and we get the bye week before we go to Jacksonville -- the way we did in '97 and '04, the last two times we beat UF.

Tennessee beat our brains in last week, but they're still vulnerable. Their biggest rivalry game -- Alabama -- is still upcoming, and you'll remember from our head-to-head with them that 'Bama isn't exactly a pushover. This is not to mention the fact that Tennessee still has to play Kentucky and South Carolina. Neither of those teams is going to be a pushover this year.

Kentucky has proved itself vulnerable against South Carolina, and they still have Florida, LSU and Tennessee upcoming.

ALL OF THESE TEAMS COULD HAVE THREE LOSSES BY THE END OF THE YEAR!

It is still possible for South Carolina to lose a few games. After all, they still have Tennessee and Florida upcoming. Nothing is given. You can still win the SEC East if you hunker down, bark loud and growl low in your throat before the snap of the ball. Focus. Hone in on what you have to do: Beat Vanderbilt. Take your week off, but don't take the week off. Prepare. Go back to fundamentals. Watch tape of Tebow. Watch tape of Harvin. Beat Florida. Don't overlook Troy, but use that game to get ready for Auburn. Watch tape of Auburn's games against MSU and USF. Beat Auburn. Prepare. Get angry. Remember last year. Remember that it's Senior Day. And beat Kentucky.

Remember that we won the SEC East in both 2003 and in 2005 with TWO CONFERENCE LOSSES. It is possible, and we have done it.

Bear down. Growl. Hunker. Bark loud. You're still in this thing. But you have to take care of business. No one will give it to you. You have to reach in and take it.

TAKE IT.

I've been figuring all the scenarios. Basically we want all the east teams to lose to west teams and win out. It starts this week with Tn/MsSt. Stranger things have happened and wouldn't that be great? It doesn't mean a damn thing unless we start playing Georgia football! I am sick of snide remarks. Go Dawgs!

Reached back a few years, reading some of the posts from years past. Found this particular thread interesting. . . . .

Yes this could happen - but it's all up to the dawgs - they have to play thier best the rest of the way - cannot let up - must hunker down for every game - we loose in lexington and we'll stay at home with vandy/olemiss/tennessee
