That's the line favoring the Tide. 3.5 points to Alabama at home against a Mark Richt-coached team. Let's tot the scores up, shall we?
As head coach at Georgia, Mark Richt has three (3) losses on an opponent's home field.
1) 2003 against LSU, who went on to win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
2) 2004 against Auburn, who finished the season UNDEFEATED
3) 2006 against Kentucky...okay, now THAT sucked
But think about it...of those three losses, two were basically to eventual national champions. (We all agree that Auburn should have been awarded a share of the MNC in '04, right?) Richt has won at Auburn twice, has never lost at South Carolina, has never lost at Clemson, has never lost at Tennessee, has never lost at Arkansas, and was MAN ENOUGH at Tuscaloosa in '02.
Even neutral sites have started to like CMR. He won his first Sugar Bowl (Dooley didn't win a Sugar Bowl until his THIRD ONE, which was the ONLY one he ever won...he lost FOUR of them). He's won three other bowl games, losing only to two BIg East schools. The major skew, of course, is Jacksonville, but look: CMR goes into your house, takes what he wants, and leaves. And you don't do a damn thing about it.
Three-and-a-half point dogs? I don't think so. GO DAWGS!!! ROLL OVER THE TIDE!!!
