From Athens - Game Day Friday #2. 09-09-23

Good day all,
Game 2 of the 2023 season is coming up tomorrow against Ball State University.
Ball State is a member of the MidAmericanConference a D1 school.
Tomorrow's game is another paid scrimmage.  More opportunities for Dawgs to get better. Both our veterans and young pups will have the opportunity to gain game experience.  It will be a noon kick weather looks to be partly cloudy temp low to mid 80's.  The humidity has been high in Athens this past week so I am hoping that we catch a break with a overcast sky..  Noon kicks in September are known to be toasty inside Sanford...   Dawgs show that they spent the week in practice making improvements..   Stay focused, don't look ahead... play and win this game.

I hope that we can make it to the top 5...but I don't know, our quarterback is used to being a backup so i guess we will see.... How 'Bout Dem SEC Champion Dawgs!?

This was TopDiggidyDawg  Posting...18 years ago that would be 2005 ...  25 years after our 1980 Natty ... it would be another 16 years of wandering in the woods..  In 2005 we were concerned about our QB much like today…. The more things change the more they stay the same…..

Sidebar... it was a backup QB that won us B2B. Natties ...  it will be a backup QB again when we 3peat…. Any guesses who was our QB getting ready to play his second game as a starter against the Gamecocks …….DJ Shockley … who would go on to  beat LSU for the SEC Championship.

Hey Chief … what’s  cook’n for the tailgate …. Grandson has made a request for teriyaki meatball sliders so I have a strong feeling that Nana will be leaning towards making that happen .

I know it would be nice to win another natty this year, and we have a really good chance to do it, but, I’ll listen to what CSM has to say, one game at a time.  There are too many variables to consider, the least of all is talent, cause we are loaded with talent and depth.   Yes we have the team to do it,one game at a time!  Haven’t made up my mind, but probably Burgers and Dawgs.
