Just for the record, Punter Jake Camarda turned in 4.56 40 time at the NFL combine. Needless to say, the fastest at his position.

341lb Jordan Davis turned in a 4.78, the fastest time for any player over 310lbs in about 20 years. That time is faster than Patrick Mahomes who ran a 4.80

DE Travon Walker ran a 4.51 while Devonta Wyatt clocked in at 4.77

Zeus turned in a 4.40 and James Cook checked in at 4.42

George Pickens, still not 100% ran a 4.47.. faster than AJ Green's 4.48

These numbers are eye popping.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

What the Dawgs did at the combine is generational stuff. Davis' 40 yard dash is mind blowing. I suspect a lot of scouts were scratching their heads saying "how the _______ did we have some of these guys as third round picks?"

This is not only good for the players - who have earned every bit of the success they're achieving - but its also one whale of a recruiting tool for Georgia: You want to get to the show? Come to Georgia and we'll get you there.

Side note:

For the record, I'm withholding judgement on the hiring of Stacey Searels. I was never, not once, impressed with the O lines under Richt. When Kirby got to Athens, we saw the priority of the O line in the mind of the new coach by hiring Sam Pittman. I have to trust that Kirby had a little talk with the new O line coach and said "that trash you were putting out on O-line when you were last here - forget that. Here's the type of lineman you are going to recruit."

Man I love watching these Dawgs going forward in life and doing well.

I love winning a national championship even more. It STILL feels good.

I've done several NFL mock drafts and the amount of Dawgs going in the 1st two rounds is incredible, and it doesn't even involve Cook or Zeus who haven't been taken until later. There were also defensive Dawgs taken in the late rounds that you hardly remember amongst all the other names.

It's going to be a banner year for Dawgs getting into the NFL.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

5 Defense Dawgs in the first round. Incredible. A fifth player taking number 1 overall typing the record. Incredible.

Kirby is a genius.

Nakobe Dean will be an All Pro and now he is extra motivated.
