SBIV will be back for yet another year, so I imagine JT is long gone for sure with Beck to follow shortly. Brock will be the backup barring whatever happens with the transfer portal.

In other news, second leading receiver Jermaine Burton is entering the transfer portal as well.

Yup. Saw all that this evening. I don't even know if I should give my thoughts. You can probably guess them.

Losing Burton hurts, but I wouldn't expect a wideout of his caliber to hang around to be thrown at again next season by the same QB. I won't be surprised to see him land at USC, Bama or Ohio State.

Rumor is JT is interested in Notre Dame or Auburn.

So far the action has been in one direction Dawgs moving to the portal..

I don't think it's right to see this much use of the portal.

It's basically become a situation where every college football player is a free agent, and I am not sure at all that is good for the sport.

With the payments to players and financial deals, programs could be targeted and decimated by players leaving. That aside, it still has to be utter hell on recruiting when an area of imagined strength becomes an area on incredible weakness in the course of a week because of transfers out.

I believe I saw that Virginia had lost it's starting RT,RG, C, and LT to the transfer portal. That's 4/5 of what was assumed to be their entire starting O-line in 2022..
