I happen to agree that Texas & A&M were overrated. Neither of those two teams looked tough or disciplined.
I've been reviewing the game film on the Hogs. Their defense is fast. They swarm.
Their 3-4 is giving way too much cushion. If they try this against Georgia, we will slice them apart all day (defensive highlight sequence begins at 4:53)
Note that Jimbo was calling crossing routes because of the cushions being given. Arkansas cannot afford to do this against Georgia. Georgia or Bama would burn them to the house or at least for big losses with the speed & agility of their receivers. Hogs run defense on the edges is very soft to say the least, however, up the gut they do a pretty good job of playing to the ball stopping the runner at or around the line of scrimmage. Even so, their d-line was still getting giving up the big run and getting gashed by A&M. If JT has that much time to throw against, it could get ugly right fast for the Hogs. If Monken is going to continue to play to our strength in the flats, I don't think their defense has the speed to stop UGA in the flats for 4 quarters.
