Coach Pruitt fired from Rocky Top

As KD noted in an earlier post CJP is out at Tennessee... early reports are that he was fired for cause ... which means no buyout
Money will be owed.... also terminated nine assistant coaches...recruiting investigations for violations seems to be the problem..

Fat Phil is retiring before months end...... University President states that it is unrelated to NCCA investigation... hmmm,.

I lived in Chattanooga for 28 yrs before moving to Athens.... going back to Johnny Majors being let go to make room for Fat Phil to be HC... which was surrounded with back room deals...Knoxville has become a very toxic place for Football Head Coaches .. this atmosphere produced a series of questionable HC hires ......

Rocky Top is in a world of hurt.... search committee has been formed to find a new AD which has to be hired ....so they can hire a new HC for football.... who will put together a staff ...

There is a boatload of questions.... Kevin Steele ... hired from Auburn as a defensive analyst.... ?

Kat Bryant .... transferred from Auburn
Cade Mays ... has a hill to climb to Improve NFL draft stock

Calling Knox’vegas... a dumpster fire is being kind. ..this mess weakens the entire SEC

Still appreciate what CJP did for the Dawgs while in Athens....

Let's hope Hugh Freeze does not end up there. He is dirty but he is a good coach.

Into the possibility to getting a HC’s job at D5 school .... he may stay away from Knoxville not knowing what penalties are going to be dealt out for pending violations....

IMHO .... no quick fix .... in sight for Tennessee...

Down South reporter Chris Doering has offered a name as a possible HC for Tennessee...... he thinks the Gus “Bus” would take the job... has had success in the SEC...

I think Gus will appear on the SEC Network as an analyst.... take the bag of cash from Auburn....
