I am happy with how this situation resolved itself.
Pretty sure the Vols oaid their OC more than Chaney made this year. They made the offer... Kirby knowing who else he had in mind was happy to let Chaney walk. Kirby keeps coaching talent that represents the future for the program and is spared from having to dismiss an OC who by the numbers has done nothing wrong.
Win/Win
We do however need to retain our OL coach. The thing that has worried me all along about losing Chaney is him taking certain others with him.
