From Athens - Bowl Game Day Friday 28-12-18

Good Morning All,

How did we get here so fast….. last game of the season…. Yes it’s a New Year and some will say it is actual the first game of a new season…

But for our seniors and those juniors declaring for the NFL it is the last time to wear the “G” playing a college game…. big thanks for your efforts bringing our football program out of the deep funk we found ourselves in prior to CKS arrival….

While there are many other things that these four games share…. I had this jump out while watching replays…..

First two wins….. second two …. Painful losses to the same teams in the same stadium wearing the same home red home uniforms…..

And yes the first two games and wins were wearing white jerseys …..

And yes for the 2019 Sugar Bowl we will be wearing the home red jerseys….. great opportunity to start a new trend in 2019….

As I am typing we just received a notice that Deandre Baker will skip Sugar Bowl…… next man up….

Lots of excitement the last two years and even the losses didn't feel like "same old, same old". They felt more like, "So close and soon that door will get kicked in." Saban won't go quietly though.

I think Texas will come ready for bear. Hope the 'dawgs do the same. I think they will. Couldn't always say that.

Thanks to you for Game Day Friday and to the rest of you for the insight. This is the first place I come for "talk" about the 'dawgs. Great stuff.

YD1... season did seem short. My theory is winning is more fun and time flies when you have nothing to complain about like we had in the pre CKS era.

Flashback.....only game this season that the dawgs were not favored...SECG...

Remarkable...in just three years....

We have knocked on the Tides door twice...slammed in our face..
