Seems fitting to me that we start early... stoking the embers so that by 3:30 Saturday we will have a white hiot forge going

Crushing the urange last year was extremely delightful.... Nick left a big memory for the folks In Knoxville....worst defeat for

The Vols at home...ever.... be equally delightful to hand them the worst road defeat also.... fitting bookends

More later..... has to pace myself.... lol....

Yes....smoke was seen raising from the practice field this afternoon....

Theres two things no make it three things that I really cant stand, a vol, a gayturd and a gnat, and I 'm in a dilemma as to which one I dislike most, but we play the vols first so they get the most first.

It will be interesting to see how this Georgia team responds after what was really a lackluster performance at Missouri. If they respond as I expect there is no one more than Tennessee that I would like to see that happen to.

Big Ben will be out for a minimum of 4 weeks and Thomas is still limited on his ankle, so expect Mays to get more PT and some other shuffling on the O-line. As well as we have run this is still an area of concern as we have not been as consistent here as we should have been considering our opponents.

The good news is if we can weather the O-line injury storm, then they will be better off as a unit later in down the road when we are back to full strength. The experience gained will pay off for some of the other guys. This is the area where teams like 'Bama have always had the advantage. Their depth enables them to play right through and that is the same sort of depth that Kirby has been talking about since he arrived.

One thing we need to see this week is Swift really get going. We also need to clean up the penalties and play with a lot more discipline. Along those lines we also need to see what Kirby called "respect for the ball"... as in holding on to it until you hand it to the referee long after the whistle has blown. Woe be to the next young man who might think of dropping a ball before he crosses the goal line.

Only one version of that song that sucks more and that is to hear a Bluegrass Band with a BANJO in it, makes you want to pull out whatever little hair you have left !
