From Athens- Game Day Friday #4 21-9-18

Good Morning All,

Well here we are at the start of the SEC meat on our schedule.

Been hearing all week from the heads flapping their gums about us have only one sack for the year..yada yada…

Being as gentle as I can be….

Sack counts, Hurries , Tackle for loss, Int’s and a pile of other defensive statistics that you can name…. add to that all the statistics for the entire team…. And drum roll please….. there is only one statistic that counts toward making it to the CFP….. quality wins….. how you got them don’t care… run or pass … defense or offense… matters not…

Al Davis …… Just win baby !!!!..... Truth spoken…. Only asterisk… is quality… you can’t load your schedule with cupcakes and expect to get a berth….

Use to be Ohio State could then back into a playoff slot…

Not so anymore…… Yes I am aware that if your winning quality wins chances are you won't be dead last in all statistics...and we are not.... Remain Calm.... In Kirby we Trust........

It is truly odd to have the Dawgs being spoken about as teams on upset alert…. Back in the dark days before the Smart era… us losing to a lesser team….. it was “Georgia just being Georgia”

I have often posted …. If you wanted to change the conversation… it had to be done on the playing field..with wins…. We finally have coaches and players that understand this concept and embrace it….

Two games last year confirmed that…. And brought a fresh meaning to
“Georgia just being Georgia”….. SECCG and the Rose Bowl…. Ask Assburn and the Sooners about the Dawgs….

Feel Vegas have the spread correct on are Mizzuo game…

We will cover …. Once again quality depth will be a factor….

Play to our standard….. stay focused….. block out the hype…. Do your job..

Win… shake their hand .. shower … get on the plane and come home..

Growl …. Taking a break from the grill….. fix’n Jambalaya for….halftime…A&M and the Tide ….. had to have a shrimp fix…. Found some real good
Andouille …… skillet of cornbread… cold Dixie Beer…blessed

Pause and give thanks

Yankeedawg, I'm cooking chicken & shrimp jambalaya tomorrow also. Must be the time of year. As that old Cajun from New Jersey Justin Wilson I too cook a red jambalaya, none of that white stuff for me. Have to compare recipes sometimes, love to cook Cajun style food.
