              Good Morning All,

Like the rest of the south Athens has been locked in a cold spell.

Great opportunity to sit by the fireplace and ponder….

I have been able to make smooth changes between coffee and bourbon as the day progressed…..

Seth Emerson addressed this question in a recent article…..

Can we compete in 2018 and get back to the CFP….

He danced with the answer….. if we can replace the departing talent…

And …. Find the same level of leadership…

This is a throwback question to years past….

Rebuilding or reloading….. with talent….

We all remember….. wait until next year….. more experience …yada yada…… excuses wrapped in coach speak….

I can remember board members posting… Alabama ….never rebuilds

Player names change… results remain the same…… win…..

Years of recruiting and quality depth…… Nattys will follow…..

IMHO…… as long as CKS is the HC…… we will compete…..

HC…… Georgia isn’t going anywhere……

We have turned the corner….. we also will reload….. gone are the days of rebuilding…… quality depth as a result of focused recruiting …. and Coaching them up will keep us headed in the right direction…..

With all the questions we had before the 2017 season started….. and how the pieces fell in place…. It wasn’t luck…. Rather hard work…

Key here for me …. Hard work was done across the entire team…

Which included the underclassmen……

Much attention paid to who will step into roles to replace the departed talent….

Heads searching for clicks ……

Coaches and staff will sort that out…..

Georgia just being Georgia….. college football now understands that has a new meaning….. this year’s team will have its own identity….but it will built on the foundation that’s been established.

Looking forward to September First and Austin Pea…..

New faces,new opportunities…….

NSD …. Coming fast….. spring ball just a blink away…

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always “Go Dawgs”

Dean Legge has been around Georgia Football for many years and does shoot straight when discussing the program overall. Not a lot of "me stuff", more about the team. Some of the media folks like to name drop and get away from the "story". Video is lengthy but some interesting chatter from Dean. May be I should say Legge, we are not on a first name basis, just listen to what he has had to say for a long time. One of the areas that I do agree with and many on this board have said the same . . . . Depth at Georgia (now) makes it difficult for incoming players to "start" right away. A positive sign that our program has progressed in a short period of time. I still remember certain coaches at Georgia that played "favorites", those days are over, not in Smart's DNA.
