From Athens- Friday Thoughts

Good Day All,

So we come to the end of another year.

Many Dawg fans are learning how to cope with success….

As noted the call for change over the recent past has proven that
It was both needed and long overdue… for our team to improve….

We knew we could not take the steps to improve following what had become stale coaching.

Much discussion followed after the selection of CKS…

We could do better…. Cries for an experienced HC…we don’t need to go
Through growing pains of training a HC…. Frankly the voices of concern
Increased after going 8-5 and several sideline blunders…. Losing to UT,Vandy and the Nerds…. Didn’t cause the faithful to have warm fuzzys …. Towards our new HC…. That with highly questionable hires as assistants such as our OC and a new young DL coach ..fueled the Richbots longing for the past…

Several times I stated…. Kirby’s first year is 24 months long….

We came to know about HC’s process…..

Having lunch last August with Boss Dawg… making the case that we would show improvements in many areas ..that our HC addressed many needs to make us better…. Steve asked me..
“Do you think we might even win some games “????

Answer then and now ……yes

Stay focused…. Play up to our talent level…..

Bigger chips on the table…. Keep chopping

Back to the Benz…….

Pause and give thanks

YD1, Yep. Kirby came home. That was one of my major talking points for hiring him.

Gotta have that burn in your gut to succeed. Kirby has it. Ready at the right time, right place.
