I agree that the ball needs to be spread around more, but how could we not have gotten Herndon and Njoku the ball more last weekend?! Especially when the mismatch was against the LBs and the dead space between them and the secondary up the seam. Lane Kiffin picks out themes for each week against specific teams to exploit, so does Urban Meyer.
Don’t get me wrong, I think CMR will get better at calling plays, but going with so much RPOs basically stunted our ability to stretch the field and get the TEs in the game. I was actually waiting for the adjustment to take place in the second half, but it never came.
