From Athens- Friday Thoughts

Good Morning All,

Very productive week here in Athens…..

Commitments for the 2016 and 2017 class….. big OL…… love it..

Ground breaking for IPF...again thanks to CJP….for moving the pile forward.

This past weekend the number #2 athlete in the country for 2017 who is already committed to the Dawgs played host to the #1 athlete here in Athens…..

They have struck up a friendship and both will return together for another visit during spring practice.. success builds success ..fact

Both play DB’s and like CMT and CKS……. Talking about playing together to the Dawgs back where they belong…..Hmmmmmm…

With the official ground breaking of the IPF just a added bonus we have a HC and assistants who have extensive experience coaching with a IPF available….. they know when and how to use it for the advantage that it can be…… no learning curve…..a very good thing ..…. They understand that a vast majority of our games are played outdoors and we need to be able to deal with adverse weather conditions……. And we will be able to………

Looking into the future if we are capable of building a OL that can add just two seconds while pass or run blocking…..a good QB and RB move closer to being very good…. No wonder EH is talking about running behind these big uglies …. JE has a smile also….

Did anyone see the pictures of I-mac in the weight room….

Joystick is getting ripped….

S&C coaching gang brings the high energy is the word the veterans are putting out….having fun while adding muscle…

Coach WF started….Coach RS kept the improvement going…

CSP…. Not starting with a completely bare cupboard…. Has talent….and limited depth…. He will correct..and build on both…

A mentor showed me in business if you can take a liability and make it an asset by hard work you gain an advantage that you didn’t have….. to start with…. Same can be said about our
OL and DL’s……. improvement in these two areas with pay huge dividends…… Fact….

Been another good week watching the fun meter moving up!!!

Growl…weather looking good…. More practice with the grill…..

YD1, it is going to be great this season, for whatever reason I think we will be celebrating a lot, cant wait, just goes to show that Johnathan Winters was right " If your ship hasnt come in yet, swim out to it." our new coaches are still swimming hard.

In fact we started to celebrate after CKS was hired....

Lots of reasons to feel good about the direction we going.

Answers.....much differently than in the past...good thing..

We don't need 2 seconds YD... we need somewhere between 2 tenths to a half at the most. 2 tenths is the difference between mediocre and good and half is the difference between mediocre and great.

The point though is the same... it's nice to see the hype about this part of the team more-so than what was hyped before...
