Just finished watching the Miami press conference welcoming Mark Richt.

Mark said that they are actively looking for a home in Miami, that is home for them now. Mark Richt and family are officially leaving Athens, Georgia.

Will add this as I spent time in South Florida.

Player talent will not be a problem for the new coaches.

Players like Sony Michel, Isaiah McKenzie, Dalvin Cook FSU, Kelvin Taylor gators. Believe me, there are many D1 football players in South Florida that are not "running backs".

Simply this from where I sit . . . . Mark Richt has to understand that he cannot sleep at the wheel, which I firmly believe he did in Athens.

That about does it for me, will say this, we need Bryan McClendon to remain on the Kirby Smart staff. He is the man responsible for 95% of the talent in South Florida and the State of Florida considering UGA.

UGA needed Kirby Smart. We got our man, Miami got theirs.

Go Dawgs, Coach'em Up!!

I wish Mark Richt well but I am sure as hell am happy he's gone.

Conversely, what can I say?
Kirby Smart.

Anyone think about Kirby and Nick going at it in the SECCG?
I have.

averagedawg, know that Saban wants to keep Cochran S&C coach. Been reported that Cochran is Kirby's good friend.

Believe that Mel Tucker will take Smart's defensive coordinator job.

Also think that Kirby will shift his efforts to Athens right after the SECCG. Just a gut feeling.

Think Kirby will hire an OC that either runs the pro style or similar that requires a QB with a great arm.

While it's possible we could lose a few recruits, don't forget that Kirby will bring a few 4-5 star guys with him that were committed to BAMA.....

I'll take BAMA's recruits all day long.

yd1....no pressure tomorrow so your choice of beverage my friend.

Been perusing many UGA fan sites. Man oh man, the things I'm hearing. There is one I read from a fan on UGASports.com "who knows someone who knows someone"

Says ADGM is in his last year and Frank Ros (1980 team) would step down from Coca Cola to become AD.

On another note, I know the dead period runs from Dec 11-through about January 13th, but if I'm not mistaken, since Eason has signed his financial aid letter, KS could talk to him until the cows come home. However, Eason is supposed to be enrolled in a couple weeks or so?

If so, I'm sure KS and the guy he has in mind for OC duties will be on the phone this week with him.

At some point Kirby Smart and Nick Saban are going to have to put the gloves on. Never forget, college football is a business.
