Rivalry games never seem to play out to form, but sometimes this one does. This seems like one of those years where Georgia actually puts it on GT.
GT was already young and thin and is now hurt. There is really no part of their game that is playing at a high level and they aren't playing for anything but pride which only takes you so far.
UGA's defense at least is playing at a very high level. Big drop off in the O-line for Tech (Shaq Mason now playing in New England with Dave Andrews) and Justin Thomas is hurt. Plus Pruitt probably still has the stats from last year's game seared in his memory. Tough day for the triple option.
GT's defense is the type of defense that can make Lambert look like Joe Montana.
If you give Paul Johnson a tactical advantage over Mark Richt, like playing for pride, that only takes you as far as the talent will.
I think it's going to be a long afternoon for the Jackets. Outside of the coach's "margin for error".
