Malzahn, Muschamp and Garner

Start with this . . . .

When a coach wants to sit in the "left seat" means he is the Captain. Right seat is co-pilot, after that choose.

Gus has done nothing more than step up, as did Chizik. Sometimes sitting in the "left seat" demands more than being a "flash in the pan". Stepping up, as the latest head coach has done at Auburn, can and probably will see some "coaching changes" in the near future.

If I was Garner, would be looking over my shoulder. Has not been said a lot but . . . . Garner and grantham were not "friends". Comes now the time for muschamp to live up to all of the "hoopla" that Gus sent his way. Gus did not think that Garner was the man to turn the defense around. Gus brought a coach in that was a "failure" as the head coach for the gators. Defensive "Genius" is the term I have heard over and over when referring to muschamp.

This "old fart" . . . . Buc, will never forgive or forget what (will muschamp) said when he arrived in Gainesville, Florida. Been through that, don't need to repeat it for the umpteenth time. Maybe I will . . . . he kicked us (UGA) in the brassies and promised the gators that he was the second or third coming of spurrier or meyer.

One thing that I do hold close is this . . . . Nick Saban did not invite will muschamp to join the coaching staff in Tuscaloosa. Saban knew as long as muschamp was coaching on the Plains with "Gussie" there would be a clear road to victory in the State of Alabama.

So . . . . with all of that . . . . Does Mark Richt and his coaching staff have any "excuses" as referred to by some on this board with the "talent" that he has as "Head Coach"?

Again, just asking. At some point if we can't capitalize on what "should be" or "could be", when do we think we can move forward?

If anyone takes the last comment as a slant against UGA Football, will say this . . . . You belong to a different group than I do. When is it that "we" have to "step up"? After Jacob Eason? I use his name because I have seen the same "message" for x number of years.

Hard to pass this quote up from Gus . . . .

" . . . We hired Will Muschamp, in my opinion, the best defensive mind in all of football, not just college football," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said of his prized offseason addition. Malzahn added what most impresses him about Muschamp is "… his approach, his energy and his enthusiasm for the game. He just has that presence around him that he gives all the coaches confidence. He gives his players confidence.

"And he's got the 'it' factor."

From where I sit . . . . "Gus ain't it".

growl maybe I am confused but I do believe that I see Gus doing some of the things that Richt was doing once upon a time.

Again, this is not to start "stuff" it is something that becomes noticeable about coaches and coaching to me.

Quarterback change at Auburn. Now Sean White is going to be the starter. All of the hype that is coming from those both inside the SEC and the talking heads like Trent Dilfer, hired gun for ESPN lecturing us on how good Sean White is.

If Sean White is "all that" . . . . why did he not start in 2015? Sound a bit like what we have watched at Georgia some years, I think so.

What has happened is someone had to be the "fall guy" for the terrible coaching job that is just that . . . . a terrible coaching job on the Plains.

Gus Malzahn likes to act as if he has all of the answers. Told anyone who would listen that Jeremy Johnson was going to light it up in the SEC. Talking heads on board with the statement and had Auburn winning the SEC, participating in the Final Four.

From where I sit . . . .

The SEC caught up with Gus Malzahn quickly. His head got really big, and quite frankly, Gus is a very manipulative person. It is always someone else's fault. Got rid of his defensive coordinator, hired muschamp who Gus said is the best in the "world of football" not just the SEC.

Takes me to this . . . .

I see a big change in the way our team is being coached. Took a change of personnel in the coaching ranks, but it happened. Coaching changes made and now we see more and more top talent at least considering Georgia as a place to play football. Not long ago, many or most of the top talent was on its way to the Alabama teams. Fact.

There are players on the Auburn team right now that most of us drooled over in their Georgia High School Football playing days, wishing they would sign the LOI to play for UGA. They chose Auburn.

I also see in the 2015 Team some of what many of us saw and expected from the 2008 Team.

Georgia was ranked #1 in both the preseason coaches poll and AP poll, marking the first time Georgia has ever been #1 in the preseason version of either poll. However, we finished the season ranked below the top 10 in the AP poll.

Alabama will be a test. Tennessee will be a test. There are others we will face that are much better than the teams we have played thus far.

Happy to be 3-0, bet your boots I am. Soon we find out if our coaching changes are better in their second year than their first.

Truth be told, I want to beat Auburn as bad as I wanted us to beat South Carolina. Especially on their turf, who knows maybe by halftime their stadium will be half empty. Has happened before.

Go Dawgs Coach'em Up!

:)

Edit . . . . Dilfer's comments . . . .

I just had to check out Sean White's career stats. Here they are:

Attempts - 0
Completions - 0
Touchdowns - 0

With you, Buc, on "why didn't this guy start at QB game one?".
