Just kind of wondering what the rest of you think the ratio of run and pass plays will look like this season, along with your take on the ypg for opponents. I feel that the running game is going to be 65% or more of our offense this year. I'm hoping the defense will come up strong, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one. Go Dawgs

Growl like your numbers but I can see that changing

Depending on our opponent. No question we will

Be a ground and pound. "O". Teams loaded the box

Last year and we just kept running over and past people

Our passing game will be effective. Much has been

Made about our receivers not being up to par

Wait until next January and we will revisit this statement again.

Big welcome to Charlie Worner. Newest Dawg. Great get.... Go Dawgs

75 percent running plays or screen passes.

The defense will keep the opponents offense under 300 total yards a game that number will ( Better) go down as the season goes own.

My 2 cents Growl hope all is well.

yankeedawg I can't wait to see Charlie In Athens.

I just believe that UGA is a run heavy offense based on one thing, a host of way better than average backs. The thing that is so intriguing for me is the quality of our receiving corp and the ability of several running backs to receive and run for chunks of yards.

What gives me a better feeling for the "D" this year, to a great degree, is the fact that our depth is greater and they will be scrimmaging against some better players than they will have to face in most cases.

All in all we should be in every game this year, should come down to the sideline management, which scares the devil out of me.

Close to 50/50. Schott likes to throw to the TE and RB coming out in the flat. Typical pro type plays is what I expect. May go as high as 60% pass and that would not surprise me.

Read an article today that again talked about UGA quarterbacks being able to throw the football. One quarterback was not mentioned as being able to do that, Faton Bauta.

Growl, if we are going to discuss numbers, I would add this . . . . If the “noodle armed quarterback” that can and will run the football from the quarterback position gets playing time, believe your numbers are close to being spot on, 65%.

Dawg With Style, guess Faton Bauta has “enough” of an arm to throw “screen passes”. That seems to be what is coming out of Athens and the “selected media”. That would hit your number of 75%.

Media also seems to suggest that we have wide receiver problems confronting us in 2015. If that is the case . . . . Why do we need a quarterback with a cannon in 2015? Just asking.
