Good Morning All,

Welcome July!!!

This week’s Blue Plate Special…TITRM…..WWCBSD….QBHA

Tallahassee in the rearview mirror

Some months ago I posted how I believed that CJP was glad to have put Tally in the rearview mirrors.

That he knew what was going on and was eager to turn the page…IMO it is why there was no counter offer to keep him…..he was leaving…..

The trendy player domestic violence bug is reaching knew popularity…..

FSU’s QB punched a women and had a warrant for his arrest…..seems like it was insurance going after the ex-ND QB….and signing him….

Now on to Ole Miss and Tunsil having charges brought against him by his step-father for being punched in the face…

Toss in several DUI and drug violations at other Conf5 schools and the lawyers are looking at a boon to their incomes.

I understand the possibility of a major sh*t storm could hit Athens over a stolen scooter helmet or a pan of brownies…..however… thus far

a) The watchers are doing a better job of keeping our players out of trouble

b) Players are more accountable for their actions

c) Combination of both…. Me thinks……

Having said that can’t let it pass without acknowledging our programs

Improvement . I can remember the heads asking had CMR lost control of the program……same words now being used about Jimbo and FSU.

What would/will CBS do?

Several regular posters here have dug deep into CBS NFL background trying to get a picture as to how our “O” will look…and… how will it differ than that of the CMB era.

I have done the same….. I have watched every piece of video that he has done since arriving in Athens.

During several segments with current players and recruits in talking to the receivers he stresses the
need for them to learn multiply positions.

A receiver who lines up always on the same side and same position makes them easier to defend..

His words… make the defense find you…. It causes havoc with personnel match ups …..

Word I am getting off campus is that he and Bmac are joined at the hip working on the development of our passing game…a very good thing

It has been spoken of here and I feel correctly we will see 4 WR sets…2 TE’s and a variety of combinations. Many shifts and motion ……

We will not have a vanilla passing attack…… and…. Least not forget we have RB’s with good hands…… also been noted that CTbrown and our OC have spent a good deal of time together……

IMHO going back to his first pc were the HC spoke about CBS putting is finger prints on the offense.

We all know about our ground and pound running game

We have had much success running screen passes of late also

So I think what will look the most different is how we go about getting the ball 30 to 40 yds down field….

Am I saying that all this will translate to more wins.. no…. can it …. Yes!!

Quarterback hype again..

Well the heads hauled the quarterback issue back out again this past week.

We knew on April 11 the day of the G-game that a starter would not be named until fall.

Yet the heads over the past 3 months keep repeating the news like it was just happening……

Aside from JP leaving and GL arriving we still have not named a starter

Three camps

BR is and has been the starter since BB

Any of the top three could get the job done..or as one of our OL said
With our “O” we can win with the ball boy

None of our QB our can play winning SEC football and the results will be like the Titanic…… we will sink….gurgle… burble….splash… will replace

Woof…..Woof….. Woof…….

Anybody notice that several other teams in conf5 have not named a starting QB…

The choir sang…but we know Bama and Lame will find a winner who will be all world……

Again do I know how all this QB stuff will sift out

Not just no but hell no…. fact is nobody does….

Opinion….. yes….. answers are getting closer each day..

Happy birthday to our country

Fitting that our women soccer team is playing for the World Cup this weekend…. Good Luck!!!

Pause and give thanks….GIG…

Enjoy the weekend and family time …. Good time to remember our
military families who has kept our country free the past for 239 years

Have a safe week

As always “Go Dawgs”

The photo is real and was taken of President Bush and First Lieutenant Melissa Stockwell U.S. Army Retired during festivities after the Warrior 100K Ride.

The ride was presented by the George W. Bush Presidential Center on April 26-28, 2012 where “nineteen servicemen and women wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan joined President George W. Bush for a 100 kilometer mountain bike ride in Palo Duro Canyon State Park.”

According to her bio, Stockwell was on deployment on April 13, 2004 when the HUMVEE she was in “was hit by a roadside bomb and Melissa suffered the loss of her left leg above the knee.”
