Doubtful. richt won't allow it, the OC probably won't have much say.

Sadlerdawg said it all.
Mainstream media have been talking about how many wonderful and qualified candidates for the OC job. None are talking about what the next OC will be walking into.
The position will not be used to groom another Bobo. Good coaches are not groomed, they are born. Just like good players. Besides most agree a new OC might not have much responsibility.Any OC willing to walk into the job is more likely walking into a PR event.
I am still stuck on the pooch kick. There are a large number of Dawg fans that need to beat Tech every year. It is a source of pride for a year. These folks are at large companies, contributors to the program. Now the kick will be talked about all year.
I don't want another year of excuses.

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

No doubt things are out of kilter in Athens. But reality goes on. The reality is that we need to hire an OC. Anyone got any ideas about who might be coming? Or who might be a good candidate?

Rockdawg. Thats the 64k question. If we want to go big we can't be shopping at the

Dollar General. We offer a chunk of change then why didn't we counter to CMB unless

It was more about opportunity then bucks... did he want to OC for another x number of years

The way our assistant coaches pay range it looks like a bingo card makes about as much sense

As said pooch kick..... need is for a big time line coach who can teach and recruit

Big uglies..... CJP. Whatcha got up your sleeve? Anyone with a Bama address hmmmmmmm

Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

If they wouldn't even counter on Bobo, then they are not going to ante up big for an OC. Promote from within probably, and pay them little.

ADGM is probably trying to figure out just how little can actually be paid to a coordinator, and Richt is probably trying to figure out how to promote his son to the job. B)

Earlier someone asked about a real QB competition next year with a new OC.

Doubt it.

Not if Richt has any say in the matter. His choice for an OC hire will be predicated on a willingness to stay the course and just keep on doing what we do.

The money... the desire for continuity.... If there's a candidate on the staff then he will get the job. Of course there is always the chance there will be two options and Richt will pick the wrong one. The other will walk and go on to do great things somewhere else. Then again... ADGM may flex his job-given muscle and force Richt into a choice sure to end in a disharmonious contentious cluster ----.

I mean let us be honest here... between Scrooge McDuck and Goober (he was the dumber of the Pyle cousins), there are so many possible ways to take the wrong turn at this crucial crossroad. It's clutch-time folks, and we don't fare well there.

Only real hope for this program to take any next step is to have many big-big money backers finally decide they actually care about winning SEC championships. Scrooge needs to be sent packing on the same train as Richt if we are to ever be more than what we are right now.

God Bless and Go Dawgs
