Good Morning All,

We have just a dozen Fridays before GDF and Clemson.

As noted I have us winning all 12 season games

No team on our schedule has a fear factor going for it IMO

Said before I respect them but don’t fear them

Unless I am mistaking all the SEC teams in the East have to deal with

New players in key positions not unlike ourselves

Our offense looks to be as good as or better than anyone we play

With that in mind the question again falls back can our defense improve to a level which helps our offense?

So we don’t need to score 40pts to win by 3

No question as it has been pointed out by several here that we will be tested with our young

pass defense yes we will give up plays while we learn however, I don’t see us being at a total

loss as to what is going on playing defense - aka WTF do I do on a cover 2

X factor in our favor is that I see us being a very good team at causing

turnovers via the fumble. Both CTR and CJP will have us ball hawking on

every play.

In a earlier post I spoke about playing each game as a season within a

season. One week and one game at a time. Yes this maybe over simplifying but it may help us

staying focused

We need to take care of Clemson and gain confidence that we belong on the same field as anyone

else in college football. Yes it will take more than one game but it will give us a much

needed footing going into Columbia

The bye week is a big plus for us while the Chickens play and have only one week to prepare
for us

USC will be the return to SEC football for CTR and CJP

They will be ready and more importantly they will have a game plan

In place and not have us wandering around lost in the woods

Said in another post this weekend is CMR Camp here in Athens

Look to see more commits as slots our filling up

It was a special treat to pull two more players from the state of FL

We also pulled one from TN that looks like the next Artie Lynch
Big and fast loves contact

Messages being sent about how hard our recruiters are working –love it

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always “Go Dawgs”

Pretty much dead on imo yd1.....always have to give you thanks for our Friday "sendoff" into the weekend.

As you stated the offense will be as good or better than anyone we face and the D will be the challenge LIKE LAST YEAR.

Imo, the similarities and difference with the D this year will be yes, still young and very inexperienced in the secondary but very well coached at the same time. Hopefully the secondary can catch on quickly because of the schemes being simplified.

Front 7 can carry us early on.....I hope.

Happy Father's Day to everyone and remember yd1, I owe you two this weekend.

Happy Father's Day!

In total agreement that we shouldn't have to score 40 to win by 3. In past that was the philosophy I felt, that we would outscore them. Don't think that will be case this year. Offense will still be good, but will not average 40 a game. IMHO. Hope I am wrong.

Time for D to show up in Athens again. Really don't mind the "bend but don't break" attitude. With our young DBs we will get passed on. No doubt in my mind. Don't give up the big play. Strength of this D is run D. Let the other guy play between the 20s. Will trade 7s for 3s all day. Throw in a few stops and it becomes a 17 to 9 or 24 to 12 game for the good guys. That is good football. Just win. Not considered sexy though.

Go Dawgs! GATA!

Agree, our front 7 are going to be physical, have some experience and very fast.....very. If they can put big pressure on QB's, our DB/S's will look all-SEC.

Optimism is the madness of insisting that all is well when we are miserable.

After 13 years of camping on both sides,...I believe I'll approach this and seasons forthcoming with a "Damn the water, give me MaCallan 18, neat" mentality!
