Go Dawgs!
From Athens- Spring has Sprung was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
We are deep into spring ball. True still many questions to be answered
Unlike the recent past I have a good feeling that both coaches and players are working on finding answers
It is a process that can’t be done cutting corners
Hard work, learning what is being taught and to do your personal best
Coaches talking about missed assignments and players making corrections to reduce these numbers-love it big time
DL accountable for tackling assists, was not a stat tracked until CTR came on board
Need to have measurable keys to improvement or it is guessing game
In my short time as a Bulldog fan I have not seen from our coaches or players the level of energy or sense of urgency as displayed this spring
No question both coaches and players are purpose driven
Have a plan and execute that plan revise if needed but not just stumbling around hoping to find answers
I believe there are things we are doing that are taking the lead and not following or copying others.
Our coaches are pulling the best from each other and putting forth
The time and effort to make us better
Would not surprise me to see a real bangaroo come G-Game
We won’t show much; however we will not be waving arms or towels
Pads will pop and players we fly to the ball
Butts will be chewed
Challenges issued
Summer work spelled out in detail
Warnings issued about showing up in football shape come fall
Coaches finding clues and answers but not sharing much
This group holds their cards real close to the vest- got to love it
Don’t think this go around we see any cute slogans
Hope we stick with No Excuses !!!!
Athens is in full bloom mode
I had a chance to spend some time driving around and enjoying just
How beautiful this city is
Dogwoods coming into bloom and the Red Buds nothing short of spectacular
Been blessed to call this place home for the past 11 years
Pause and give thanks
Have a great weekend and a safe week
As always “Go Dawgs”

YD1 was looking for your much awaited weekly post yesterday then noticed I was a day early.
Dawgs seem as excited as you and I are.
New change in D philosophy may be just what we need. Coaches will find "coaching" to be more fun when their goals and objectives are being met. Good sign players are buying into program.
I am wondering about another slogan. More like a rhetorical question. Why Not UGA?
Go Dawgs! GATA!

Thanks as always yd1....16 oz'er for you for mentioning dogwoods, it's Master's time again.
Agree TN D...."why not UGA"?
Not to be a downer on a Friday but "talk" this time of year is excitement, anticipation and finding ways to "believe" for the past "upcoming seasons".
I too believe Pruitt's presence is for real and will make a difference but I'm taking the reserved side of many this year and not letting my enthusiasm and UGA bias cause me too much excitement. G-Day game is great but really doesn't show too much (for me at least).
Similar excitement and chatter every year (yes, even when CTG was here)....the Dawgs and coaches are going to have to show me to make a believer out of me THIS time around.
Love the Dawgs, but my rose-colored glasses are in my dresser drawer.
Everyone have a great weekend!

wLayton thanks for the cool one...yes eyes will shift to Augusta next week
sorry Tiger will miss it Your rose colored glasses might be in a dresser drawer But I bet the bank
you know which drawer in which dresser I keep mine right next to my kool Aid glass
prior to the start of last years season how many heads would have picked Assburn to beat Bama and play in the NC
Many strange things to happen between now and January
Great question why not UGA..... we have a horse in the race Guarded Optimism

yd1....yes you know that I know where my rose colored glasses are and nobody is allowed to touch them at the house. If we win the 1st two games of the year, they'll graduate to my shirt pocket.

At the end of last season I was wearing the wrap around dark sunglasses you see in the south Florida retirement homes.
