Good Morning All,

There was much to absorb this week

Again I did not see the college play for pay coming as most have stated here it will be awhile to sort it out in the courts.

It will be interesting to see how the big labor unions choose to enter the battle

A mess first class

IMO there has been more coaching this spring than in recent memory

This is happening on both sides of the ball-wheels turning-I like it

Just might include a few surprises, a novel idea

Players seem to be responding well and trying to meet the new challenges

Also have noticed the lack of players talking about themselves rather than the team – a very good thing

I still understand that much still has to be seen on the playing field
before any true conclusion can be made to any improvements

It still has been fun this spring to be able to talk about the changes that have been made with our team and coaches

I don’t think we would have had the same level of positive energy had
“The Towel” remained in Athens

Might just be a serious case of buyer’s remorse getting ready to hit the
Louisville campus.

But as it has been pointed out TT has a list of built in
excuses he can call on

More good college hoops this weekend

Take the opportunity if it presents itself to thank a Vet

They give so much and ask for so little

Spring and Easter –Life is good

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

It’s great to be a Bulldog

As always “Go Dawgs”

Go Dawgs!

That combination in L'ville has intrigued me. Not much respect for either. Both full of excuses it seems. Not wasting a lot of grey matter on it though,

Maybe this group in Athens can build on some of that team attitude that was beginning around the time of J Jones and company. Despite TG that D had pride. IMHO.

Thanks as always YD1....16 oz one for your while watching games this weekend.

Great point TN D.....the D still had pride inspite of CTG....so true.

Great bike Sadler, love that it is red/black....show us yours DWS. Hate to say it but two of my muscle cars, one is orange and one blue....makes me nauseated when I 1st go into the garage but I get over it quick when I get in them. Do have a red/black one though.

If this play for pay/unions etc goes through eventually, I think the colleges should say, ok, since you are no longer a student athlete but an "employee", here's the deal:

1. no scholarships
2. taxes/SS/medicare to be withheld
3. sign-up for Obamacare to get your health insurance, we aren't covering you since you are part time
4. pay for your own meals
5. pay rent on you apartment (dorm)
6. buy your own work clothing (uniforms/practice and games etc)
7. buy your own books etc
8. have your own transportation and pay for your own gas
9. be on time or your pay is docked
10. no time off break for Christmas (except Christmas day)/Spring break/summer vacation
11. be prepared for extensive background checks
12. if arrested for anything...you are fired

Ok....now, you ready to sign the employment contract?
